NY disco classics collected and unmixed? I don't see how you can lose. The CD insert says it best, "If you mentioned disco 10 years ago, the reaction would have been less than affectionate." But as of late, people are fully giving disco the another go-round. In the late 70's and early 80's NY was a powerhouse for disco. Prelude, West End, SAM, Sound Of New York, P&P records, etc - These are all labels synonymous with what formed the disco sound here in the city. The parties were off the hook and the sound changed music forever. Just think, no disco, no hip hop. This comp contains some classic floor fillers that still kill the floor today. Check Atmosfear's "Dancing In Outer Space," El Coco's "Cocomotion 79," Disco Dub Band's "For The Love Of Money," Freddie McGee's "Feelin' Good," and Powerline's "Double Journey." One listen, and it's easy to see why their called classics. Also, tincludes two awesome Masters At Work remixes of "Dancing in outer Space" a Harvey Mix of "For The Love Of Money" and a housey underdog mix.
