Solo full length debut from Sa-Ra Creative Partners' Shafiq Husayn on Rapster. We got a taste of Shafiq's eclectic style from his EP on Poo-Bah, but now with a full length album we can all get fully immersed in his unique brand of funky, slumpy, forward-thinking goodness. You can tell right off the bat that this isn't you're average "new-school beats" glitch and chop LA style. There's so much musicality (vocalists, live musicians) going on in all these it's truly mind-blowing - this is future soul at it's best. With 17 tracks total and contributions from over 30 instrumentalists and vocalists including Bilal, Count Bass D, Stephen "Thundercat" Bruner, Sa-Ra partner Om'mas Keith, etc prepare to be bumping this for sometime to come. Pretty much all tracks bang so I'm not even gonna pick stand-outs. Fans of Sa-Ra, LA, pushing boundaries, etc. need to hear this. Recommended.
