The highly anticipated debut album from UK soulstress Andreya Triana is here on Ninja Tune. The talented Brighton-based vocalist (who is self-taught btw) has had us eager for more material after the 2 very excellent singles (with Mount Kimbie and FlyLo remixing no less) and delivers across the board with Lost Where I Belong. Like the singles, the album is produced by Simon Green aka Bonobo, and the combination of his productions and Andreya's beautiful voice delivers deep, soulful, funky, and magical moments throughout. Check the singles "Lost Where I Belong," and "A Town Called Obsolete," plus the introspective "Daydreamers," the soul funk of "Far Closer" and "Up In Fire," and the Brazilian flavored "Something In The Silence" for highlights. 9 tracks total. Recommended.
