After a four year hiatus from releasing full albums, Kieran Hebden drops There Is Love In You, his fifth full length. It seems his stint as a regular DJ at London's Plastic People club has effected his usual abstract/downtempo style as There Is Love In You is easily his most danceable (and least expermental) effort to date. For the most part, this album is driven by deep 4x4 rhythms that are equally good for the dancefloor as they are for working or just sitting and thinking. See "Angel Echoes," "Love Cry," "Sing," and "Plastic People." The lush, Prefuse-ish programming and rich ambient textures and soundscapes are still here as well, and even more refined than before, as heard on "Reversing" and "This Unfolds." Solid and fully listenable throughout. Recommended.
