This Saturday marks a very special occasion between our LA store & long time Los Angeles mainstay label, Now-Again Records. Egon & Friends will be DJing in shop for the official release party of their latest release, Soul Cal: Funky Disco & Modern Soul 1971-82. A collection of rare masterpieces very seldom heard in their hay day, compiled for the funky masses. A lab staple for the last 3 months (promo status), the album is a must have for any Soul music fan and we are proud to present a funky good time.

Out Of Context: Personal Space

Chocolate Industries’ Personal Space has been on heavy rotation at HQ since we got the promo. Dante Carfagna did an excellent job compiling these lost pieces of electronic soul. He’s been behind some of the best compilations of unearthed cuts over the last decade, so it’s no surprise that the goods are delivered with this one. And we’ve got to give it up for Numero Group’s assist on getting this out to the rest of the world.
